The 2025 EduCHI Proceedings are now available and ready for download!

We are pleased to announce that the full program for EduCHI 2025 is now available.

Held from July 31-August 1, 2025, at the Luddy School, Indiana University in Bloomington (and virtually), the EduCHI 2025 schedule will include a keynote, 18 paper presentations across five sessions, an interactive ‘birds of a feather’ discussion session on HCI pedagogy, the annual EduCHI town hall, and the (invite-only) Pedagogy Workshop.

The keynote this year will be delivered by Prof. Elizabeth Boling, Professor of Instructional Systems Technology at Indiana University Bloomington. She will deliver a talk entitled “No Wonder It’s so Tough: Manifest Tensions in Teaching Where HCI and Design Meet.”

We’re thrilled to announce that registration for EduCHI 2025 is now open!

EduCHI 2025: The 7th Annual Symposium on HCI Education offers both in-person and entirely online attendance options. Join us in person at Indiana University in Bloomington to engage face-to-face with fellow HCI scholars, educators, and students from around the world. Or, choose to attend entirely online from the comfort of your home or office, with virtual access to all sessions.

Note that early registration rates are available through June 30, 2025.

Good news: you have one extra week to work on your EduCHI 2025 paper submissions! Paper registrations (title, abstract) are now due by 11:59pm on 22 March (AoE), with full papers due by 11:59p on 29 March (AoE).

Reviewing work for EduCHI is generally light. We request only a short (2-3 paragraph max) constructive review for each paper, and you can specify your availability for anywhere from 1-3 reviews.

The EduCHI 2025 paper submission site is now open: https://educhi2025.hotcrp.com/. Submissions must be registered by March 15, 2025 (AoE) and papers must be submitted by March 22, 2025 (AoE). Please review our Call for Papers for more details.

We are pleased to confirm that the EduCHI 2025 proceedings will again be published in the ACM Digital Library through the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS). New this year: ICPS has introduced a new Open Access publishing model. More details are available in the Call for Papers.

We are excited to announce that EduCHI 2025 will be a hybrid conference, with the in-person component hosted by the Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering in Bloomington, Indiana. More details will be shared soon!
